Choosing between a piano trio, string quartet, trio, piano + soloist, duet, or string soloist for your event depends on the size of the venue and the atmosphere you want to create. A quartet and piano trio is ideal for larger events, while a trio, piano + soloist, or duet can provide a more intimate setting. A solo musician is a great option for smaller events or as background music.
Quartet
When it comes to quartets, contrast is key. A good quartet should have a variety of sounds that keep the listener engaged, without any one instrument overpowering the others. That's why a string quartet is the way to go—not only does it have a larger library, but it can also play any popular song with ease, giving you the ultimate flexibility.
Trio
If you're concerned about space or budget constraints for a string quartet we have a solution that will provide you with the full sound of a string ensemble. Our string trio option includes the richness of the violin, viola, and cello, and is a choice for weddings with around 100-150 guests. You'll be pleased to know that there is just as music available for trios as there is for quartets.
Duet
We recommend the combination of Violin and Cello or Violin and Viola for an elegant and sophisticated touch to your special day. With their natural projection, these instruments are perfect for smaller weddings catering to 50 people or less, without the need for amplification. Our team is ready to assist you in creating the perfect musical atmosphere for your wedding, or special event.
Solo
If you're planning an intimate event with an audience, a solo violin concerto can be a great choice. However, keep in mind that not all songs translate well to the instrument. Solo violin provides melody only, so it's best to choose classical pieces with a strong and recognizable melody. Time-proven pieces like Jesu Joy, Handel's Water Music, or Air by Bach are great options. Modern songs with repetitive notes may not sound as rich and bold on solo violin.
